1 Million dollar a head dinner at Mar a Lago? Is it legal for him to turn his presidency into such a high income venture? It really looks like he is asking for bribes.

He's not asking. He is demanding bribes.

Maybe the amount is record-breaking (but then it's probably "just" adapting to what's possible) but fundraising dinner events with the President at $10k+ a plate are standard in US politics.

In this case I think it's because it's not just a dinner where you may see the President from far away, it's a smaller setting where you may be able to speak to him.

Legally this is a fundraiser for political campaigning with none of the money going to the President. Again, I believe that this is standard in the US.

of course trump can't be a political candidate or do political campaigns, since he's not legally able to be re-elected.

Trump can take part in and help political campaigns like every other citizen, he can even run for elected office after his term as President if he so wishes. The only thing is cannot do is run for President again.

The point is, the law makes a required declaration (we're still talking about laws, right). You can't just take political donations without an actual filing of intent.

it's never about the trade war

NVDA reached its peak after the release of DeepSeek‑r1, and, more importantly, the entire AI industry is extremely overpriced

I explained it a little here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42558187

It's a market bubble - or a ponzi scheme - it just burst at the best time

    Huh?

Deepseek caused more GPU demand. Throw out your theory.
